Escalating Concerns Guidance for the Closure of Care Homes in Wales

Researchers at Swansea University‘s Centre for Innovative Ageing are looking for care home managers and Local Authority/NHS Commissioners and members of Regional Safeguarding Boards to take part in a survey looking at how the existing Escalating Concerns Guidance for the Closure of Care Homes in Wales (2009) is understood and used in practice and the risks posed by COVID-19. The research has been approved by the College of Human and Health Sciences Research Ethics Committee, Swansea University. The survey will take approximately 15 minutes to complete

We are also looking for care home staff and managers who have worked in care homes that have/are at risk of closure or which have been services of concern to explore how older people were  kept informed and  were involved in the process.
