Meet the Friendly Faces Launch Event

Mon 23rd Sep 2019

We would like to invite you to an upcoming launch event in Bangor University on 23rd September:
Support for people living with dementia in North Wales: Meet the Friendly Faces and more
10:30am – 1.30pm (registration from 10am).

“Friendly Face” is an opportunity for people newly diagnosed with dementia to talk to someone else living with a diagnosis in North Wales. The idea came from Teresa Davies’ own personal experience after she received a diagnosis and would have valued someone to talk to that could appreciate what she was going through. This voluntary initiative is an opportunity to speak to someone that can relate to how they may be feeling and signpost to others that may be of help based on their own experiences.

The event will include presentations by leading researchers at Bangor University and of course the Friendly Faces themselves sharing ‘top tips’ on life after a diagnosis of dementia. The event will also be an opportunity to learn about the range of support currently available throughout North Wales for people affected by dementia.

Come to Reichel Hall, to meet the Friendly Faces, find out more about the latest research and pick up tips on living with dementia.

Refreshments will be available at the end of the meeting and spaces are limited: please contact Iona Strom by 10th September if you would like to reserve a place (and give any dietary requirements) or phone 01248 383050.
